The Society of Taking Things Off Of Other Things

Thighs!

Ada is currently the president of The Society of Taking Things Off Of Other Things, and she takes her role quite seriously. DVDs on shelves, toys on the floor, spoons on the table, parents in their bed on Saturday morning, shoes on her feet, the list goes on. Any item that can be removed from a surface and that is within reaching distance will be removed, and then will be required to do one or both of the following: put elsewhere, or put in her mouth. As I said, this must be done very seriously and in a very business like manner. In fact, if a Thing is not within reaching distance, Ada will then call out for mommy to give her said Thing so that she can do her job. Her most recent realization: Some Things cannot come off of Other Things. For example, the design on daddy's t-shirt, even with insistant and serious work, will not come off of the t-shirt. The Baby Bjorn tag on the strap of her carrier will not come off of the strap. Mommy's freckle will not come off of her skin. But, as president of Taking Things Off Of Other Things, Ada will comply to her duty, and will try for as long as possible (or until I distract her) to use her lovely chubby fingers to take these things off so that she can explore them with her mouth, or put in their proper place (ie anywhere else).

In other (non-Ada) news, Ada's favourite Pamela has a booth at the One of a Kind Show! So this means that everyone has to run there as fast as they can to buy her fabulous purses. The show is at Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, here in Toronto and runs from Wednesday, March 28 to Sunday, April 1. Pam is at booth D-31, and she is called Pink Pamplemousse, and you should check out her website to get a glimpse of some of her wares. Ada and I will be going almost every day that the show is running, so if you want to go and don't already have plans with me, let me know and we can meet up! Congratulations and good luck Pammy!

And, although we are coming up to Ada's seven month birthday, here she is happily reaching for her six month birthday beer so that she can put it elsewhere. Well, preferably in her mouth, but she's got a few years to go. :)

I promise - just one!
